Wrightman Family Portraits

As a photographer who has worked with many families over the years, I can confidently say that there is something truly special about the bond between a mom and her son(s). Whether it's roughhousing on the living room floor or snuggling up for a bedtime story, these moments are the ones that will be cherished for a lifetime.

As a mom of boys myself, I understand the importance of capturing these moments and preserving them in a way that truly reflects the love and joy that we share with our children. Here are a few tips to help you document your family's memories:

Let your boys be boys: Don't be afraid to let your sons be themselves during your photo sessions. Allow them to run, jump, and play, and don't worry too much about getting the "perfect" shot. Some of the most beautiful photos are the ones that capture the raw, unfiltered energy of childhood.

Focus on connection: While it's important to capture individual portraits of each family member, don't forget to focus on the connection between you and your sons. Snuggle up, hold hands, and enjoy the moment. These intimate moments are what make your family unique and special.

Be playful: Boys love to play, so don't be afraid to incorporate games and activities into your photo sessions. Whether it's a game of catch or a tickle fight, these moments will create genuine smiles and laughter that will make your photos truly come to life.

In the end, the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the process of documenting your family's memories!

I always make a point to get in some shots for mom and dad towards the end of my family sessions and I'm obsessed with how these turned out! The boys were less than enthusastic on the side which made it even more fun (haha).
